From hurricane and flood relief, to home-building, to special assistance during the holidays, Tyrone recognizes that we must sometimes do things simply because “it’s the right thing to do.” So rather than give to large, national humanitarian efforts, the Tyrone Poole 38 Foundation allows people to give to specific efforts, close to home…where they can truly see their dollars at work.
VIRTUAL WALK FUNDRAISER
The Tyrone Poole 38 Foundation has teamed with a Toronto-based
nonprofit, “The Diversity Channel” to leverage a “virtual walk”
technology platform to benefit any, qualifying nonprofit organization. Because some of the most effective nonprofit organizations are small, grassroots organizations that handle specific problems in smaller communities, Tyrone wanted to ensure that they had access to same leading-edge technology tools as the Tyrone Poole 38 Foundation.
THANKSGIVING FOOD A THON
Starting right in his hometown of La Grange, GA, Tyrone uses his Foundation to organize local communities around ensuring that those who need food for the holiday supplied a full turkey dinner. Tyrone knows nothing can replace the intimacy of having holidays meals at home, with one’s own family members. And, the smiles on the faces of the families in these photos says it all!
